Mathis with a group from the Caprock Writers and Illustrators Alliance at the
Lubbock Art's Festival—April 15, 2023
I had some good sales at the Lubbock Art's Festival this past weekend and handed out several cards with my website on it. The director of the Write Right Critique Group also handed out several cards with our website on it. Anyone with the URL will be able to see our bios and the books available with links to purchase them. Unfortunately, when I got home from the event, I discovered my websites (all four of them) had gotten malware and were down.
Thankfully, GoDaddy was able to get rid of it, but it wiped out all the money I made from the sales—and then some. If you tried to get to my website this past week and it was a blank screen, I apologize. They got it all removed and it's back up now. I will be looking for another hosting company that's not as expensive to move my site to. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Chapter 9 of Hot-Rod Magazine

Kim had just reached his door carrying his laundry basket when I arrived at his apartment complex.
“Wait, I’ll get it for you,” I offered before he set the basket on the ground.
Although I realized I should have just taken the basket from him, I reached into his right front shorts pocket and pulled out his keys.
